The story behind it
Why I designed it
I created Barkii Freeze-Dried Chicken Treats because I wanted a reward I could feel completely good about giving. Too many treats come with long ingredient lists full of fillers, grain and hidden sugars. I wanted the opposite: real chicken, gently freeze-dried, so you get a high-value treat that’s as close to the real thing as it gets.
What it took to get it right
Getting the freeze-drying right was our biggest challenge. We wanted a treat that kept the real taste and aroma of chicken, and with a texture that’s light and easy to break, but doesn’t crumble to dust at the bottom of the bag. We also kept the recipe simple, with 95% chicken breast and no unnecessary additives, so the chicken does all the work.
Why customers love it
Dog parents love Barkii Freeze-Dried Chicken Treats because they’re a simple, high-value reward their dogs go crazy for, with nothing they need to worry about:

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
